Birgit is a General Surgeon with overseas experience in the UK and Ireland. Born in Holland. She did most of her surgical training in Christchurch. She works at Christchurch Hospital and also at Canterbury Breastcare.

In Birgit's spare time, she loves to go fishing in the Marlborough Sounds and relax at the other end of the South Island, Wanaka. She is also an active "dog mum" with her beloved Ted in tow!
